Invite your Team
Add members to your Selena organization so your team works in the same place — how invitations work, what Admin and Member can each do, and how to manage people after they join.
Selena scopes everything by organization: the integration an admin configures, the usage that is tracked, and the conversations your team runs all belong to the organization, not to one account. Inviting your team is what puts everyone on that same footing.
Only an Admin can invite. If the Invite Members button is greyed out, you are in the organization as a Member — ask an admin to send the invitation, or to make you one.
Roles
An organization has two roles. There are no custom roles.
| Member | Admin | |
|---|---|---|
| Connect their own account to your integration | Yes | Yes |
| See who is in the organization | Yes | Yes |
| Invite, remove, and change the role of members | — | Yes |
| Configure integrations and OAuth applications | — | Yes |
| See organization usage analytics | — | Yes |
Both roles get the whole product surface — the difference is organization-level settings, not what Selena can do for them. Members see Team in the dashboard sidebar; an admin also sees Integrations, OAuth Apps, and Usage.
Inviting members
Open your team
Go to Selena and open Dashboard → Team → Members. The page lists everyone currently in the organization with their role.
Send the invitation
Click Invite Members, enter the person's email address, and pick their role — Member unless they need to manage the organization's settings. Click Send Invitation.
Invitations go out one address at a time, so repeat this step for each person.
Wait for them to accept
The invitation arrives by email with a link to join. Until it is accepted it sits under Pending Invitations on the same page, showing the address, the role it was sent with, and the date. Once accepted, the person moves up into the members list.
Have them connect their own account
Joining the organization does not connect them to the system your team estimates in. Each new member does that themselves under Dashboard → Team → Connected Accounts, with their own credentials — Selena then acts as them, so their permissions and audit trail in that system stay exactly as they already are.
If their connection status reads not_available, the organization's integration has not
been configured yet. See Integrations for how connection works, or the
WeSuite guide for the setup most teams start with.
Sent to the wrong address, or changed your mind? Click Revoke next to the pending invitation. The link stops working, and you can re-invite the correct address.
Managing members
From the same Members page, an admin can:
- Change a role — use the role dropdown on that person's row. The change applies to their next request.
- Remove someone — click Remove and confirm. They lose access immediately, even if they are signed in, and rejoining requires a fresh invitation.
Your own row has no dropdown and no Remove button: an admin cannot change their own role or remove themselves. Another admin has to do it.
Keep at least two admins. With only one, nobody can invite members, configure the integration, or hand the role on if that person is unavailable — and they cannot demote or remove themselves either.
Removing someone ends their access to the organization; it does not delete the work already attributed to them, so usage history stays complete.
People in more than one organization
Someone can belong to several Selena organizations — a consultant working with two organizations, for example. An invitation adds them to yours without touching the others.
They switch between them with the organization switcher at the top of the dashboard sidebar, and each organization keeps its own integration, members, and usage. Selena always acts in the active organization, so it is worth confirming which one is selected before starting work.
